**As of 6/20/2012 Adopt-a-Bull Rescue will no longer be taking in dogs. We have to stop our efforts to save this wonderful breed because of financial issues that have arose with the care and medical needs of the dogs. Thank you all very much for all of you support and in the future we hope to begin rescuing again, as it is our passion**We still plan on posting dogs for families and rescues who need help networking dogs**
We are a NO KILL Bully Breed Rescue Organization located on Cape Cod, MA. We have been helping Bully Breeds in need since 2008. We pull dogs from shelters and horrible living situations, spay/neuter them and get them current on vaccinations, get them up to weight if needed, train them, rehabilitate them if needed and find the the perfect forever home through our extensive and thorough adoption process. We are a foster home based rescue ONLY right now. We run this rescue out of our own pockets, but hope to acquire a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Tax status within the next year or so. Because of strict, but necessary laws in Massachusetts we can help dogs from MA ONLY. Massachusetts Law requires ALL dogs who come from out of state to be contained in a quarantine area for 48 Hours before being cleared to enter a rescue organization without quarantine areas. We also offer help to families who can no longer keep their Bullies due to financial problems or living situations. We place the dogs under our "Adoptable Dogs" link at the top of the page and begin searching for a forever home for the dog. To qualify for this service your dog must be Up-To-Date on all vaccines, be Spayed or Neutered and in good health. Before applying to adopt a dog from us you need to meet the following requirements - You MUST own your own home and have proof you do, You MUST be 21 year of age or older, you MUST have dog experience, you MUST be willing to give us personal references, a vet reference, and a work reference, you MUST be willing to fill out our extensive adoption application before being considered for adopting, and lastly you MUST be willing to allow us to do a house check.
Featured Dog Of The Month -
Tina 6 Year Old Female Pit Bull
Adopt-A-Bull rescue started in 2008 when one of our beloved furry kids had to be put down due to cancer. We decided it was time to fill that void with a new smiling doggie face. We went to a high kill shelter to look at a few dogs for adoption and realized just how many pitbulls and bully breeds were abandoned, abused, and homeless. That day we adopted two dogs from that shelter and ever since then the fire in our hearts to save lives has been growing bigger and bigger with each year that passes!
In loving memory of Daria! RIP Daria 1/16/05 - 9/11/08 You will be loved and thought of until the end of our time
